Our suites are situated in a picturesque alley near the west entrance of the Old Town of Rethymno, Crete. They enjoy a privileged location, at a short distance from the Iroon Politechniou Square, which is an ideal place to unwind and enjoy traditional local delicacies at the coffeehouses of the area. Easily accessible both on foot and by car, our suite hotel is located near free public parking areas.

“Fonte d’Oro”, is a two storey residence, consisting of three independent suites which are rented individually or as a whole residence with full privacy in the building. They can accommodate comfortably 10 guests and are fully renovated with a wonderful private roof terrace. All rooms include the Cocomat® sleep system for a luxury sleep experience!

The interior of Fonte d’Oro is a fusion of comfort, elegance and modern design gracefully combined with traditional elements. Its suites are decorated in a unique style, balancing the elements of stone, wood, glass and marble. The old fountain – which was also the inspiration for the name of our suite hotel, the well, the arches and the openings characteristically mark the architecture of the Venetian and the Ottoman period of Crete.

The building features a sunlit rooftop with magnificent views of Iroon Politechniou Square, the sea, the Fortezza fortress, the White Mountains and Psiloritis Mountain. Here, our guests can enjoy their breakfast or drinks, and sunbathe on cosy sun loungers.

The building was renovated in 2020 with creativity and imagination. The renovation added modern applications of automation, with a focus on design and energy saving. The suites are spacious, beautifully decorated and fully equipped, including a kitchen, satellite TV, free WiFi, Cocomat® sleep systems, air-conditioning and smart lighting systems. Through smart room technology, guests can fully operate the lighting, air-conditioning, and room and building access systems with the highest level of security.
